Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

The first-ever barrel aged Gamma beer! OBSEQUIOUS is an 11.5% Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, with Coffee roasted by our good friends at Prolog. This special one-off beer was brewed using loads of caramel malts, oats, heavily roasted malts, muscovado sugar and coffee, and has subsequently aged in a variety of freshly emptied bourbon barrels for 14 months, before having additional Prolog coffee added and hand bottled.

Nice deep but subtle coffee flavour, reminds me of Hill Farmstead & Coffee Collective collaborations. Very thin, too thin in my my opinion. Taste is semi sweet, a bit like an early barley wine. I miss some stout character but it's still decent.

Lakrids og vanilje med en smule fad samt vældig bitterhhed- direkte fra køl. Da øllen når de 10 grader bliver den mere behagelig. Lakrids aftager og den får et større fadpræg, som klæder den. Sødme træder for alvor ind med temperaturen.

#nightcap thanks to Jakob @Gamma. 2nd check in and still a lot of cafe latté. Aged in bourbon barrels for 14 months. The first barrel aged beer Gamma has made - and they started in 2015!
