Dark, deep brown colour. On the nose creamy, bitter dark chocolate and oats. Tastewise roasted malts, roasted coffee, sweetness, toffee, caramel and subtle vanilla. Aftertaste creamy, malty and sweet finish

Terrific flavour, but quite thin. Up the ABV and this’d be a 5.

Quite nice tbh. Fruity burnt flavours and doesn’t suffer from the curse of the can too badly

Sweet vanilla, underlying roasted and chocolates notes, thick mouthfeel

One for the sweet tooth lovers. Pretty decent actually and just the right amount (330ml can)

Nice richly flavoured stout. Malty choco-coffee notes and vanilla all come through and the mouthfeel is silky smooth.

Good beer to accompany the acorn and squirrel theory in the virtual pub.

I’m not sure why they call it a sessional; it’s neither 4% nor a drink you’d have several of unless you were Augustus Gloop (but then we hit an underage drinker ethical dilemma which is quite frankly another reason beer shouldn’t taste like dessert).

Wat lichter en vlakker maar toch goede stoute beleving voor een session.

Not a big fan of pastry stouts, but this one is really nice. A smooth velvety body gives you a delicate vanilla taste with a touch of roast yet without lactose sweetness. Light bitter finish and indistinct cream aroma.
