Bourbon Barrel Aged King Ink (2023)

Stout - Imperial / Double

In a pursuit to push the limits of our brewing system, we created this majestic Imperial Stout. We then aged King Ink for 17 months in fresh Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels, expanding the scope of its complexity even further. The barrel aging gives complex notes of Bourbon, coconut and charred oak, which layers on top of the beer’s rich flavor profile of dark chocolate, dark fruits and liquorice. Welcome to the empire of King Ink! Brewed in February 2022, aged for 17 months in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels.

Black imp. BBA stout. Bourbon boozy sweet nose. Bourbon boozy take. Vinous body witha minor oily tendency, a dark malty character and a heavy bourbon boozy bomb influence. Sweet and complex, but finishes a bit too short. Medium boozy bourbon finish
