Lou Pepe Framboise (2003)

Lambic - Framboise

As opposed to Rosé de Gambrinus, which is produced by blending one- and two-year old lambics, Framboise Lou Pepe only uses beers that have matured in casks for two years. Beers selected for their elegant and wine-like characteristics. We use 300 g of fruit per litre of lambic for this delightfully fruity beer.

Ystad Tasting (25/11/2023) - 20 years old wow - amazing aroma and taste of raspberry which is still vibrant after all these years, nice tangy jammy berry fruit, delicate wooden accents, nice body and acidity, lingering raspberry fruity close. Immense.

First experience with an 18 year old lambic, I was expecting much more funk but the fruit still stole the show in this one.
