Sang Bleu (2022)

Lambic - Fruit

Lambic blend with blue honeysuckle, or haskap, berries. For the past two years, we’ve been making a fruited blend with Camerise berries in small quantities. These berries are slightly sweet with a beautiful acidity. We didn’t have to look very far for a its new name... a blue fruit that makes a blood-red beer: Sang Bleu. Our friend Ammo has outdone himself once again, creating a superb new label to go with its new name.

BL to Blind Tasting Night @ The Masters Den.. This was the only non blinded tasting of the night.. Notes of blueberries, cranberries.. Slight earthyness.. Mellow woodsy funk.. Soft acidity.. Think this has good aging potential..

Kukkainen, , marjaisa, erittäin hapan. Toimi hyvin Brysselin auringonlaskua tuijottaessa.

Sehr aromatisches Lambic.

Like drinking some sort of berry juice. Not bad but definetly not worth the price of 11€.

Lovely tart and fruity lambic, not too sour or vinous, can get the honeysuckle and blueberry. Easy drinking and refreshing with a little wildness at the end.

When you are traveling to far places from home and you see a beer that is rated 4.3 with more than 2k in testers, you have to give it a try. This Lambic is delicious. Extremely dry and sour is not a bad combination. I don't taste it as high though.

I’m at a loss to describe this, some tart cherries with an undertone of peppery arugula. Flavor is lightly tart with the forest flavors never letting this get too tart. Finish is dry and a bit chloroseptic. No other beer like this out there, damn good.

Super bowl!! Not sure what blue honeysuckle is supposed to taste but I dig it. More vinous, mild funk. Not too tart or acidic.

Thicker and tannic. Haskap sorta dominates it all, like being hit by a wall. Less complex an end.
