Sang Bleu (2023)

Lambic - Fruit

Lambic blend with blue honeysuckle, or haskap, berries. For the past two years, we’ve been making a fruited blend with Camerise berries in small quantities. These berries are slightly sweet with a beautiful acidity. We didn’t have to look very far for a its new name... a blue fruit that makes a blood-red beer: Sang Bleu. Our friend Ammo has outdone himself once again, creating a superb new label to go with its new name.

Lots of berry and grape, clean Cantillon funk. Really fresh tasting. Bright. Light acidity.

Je l’ai trouvé un brin meilleure en fut, le fruit ressort plus en bouteille… quand même très équilibrée! 4.40

Thanks Marc E. & Dominik K. for bringing this belgian beauty back home from your trip! The fruit presence in this one is just impressive. Mouthfeel is extremely vinous & flavorful, with notes of yeast, a balanced acidity, and a complex & lingering finish.

Hand-pumped. So soft compared to my expectations.. the cask? Fruitiness like a timid blackcurrant married to absent-minded raspberry. Very subtle acidity.. feels like natural fruit tartness. Just enough creamy funk at the palate to remind of Cantillon.

4.15. Less fruitiness, more funkiness and amine. Still balanced sourness. Very juicy.

I can taste grapes even though it's macerated on haskap berries. Better than the latest batches of Camerise. Great addition to the seasonal range.

Donkerrood fruitig sap met een mooie zuurtegraad , de lambiek mocht iets meer aanwezig zijn voor mij . Groot verschil buiten 1ste batch

Intense, fresh and fruity. More acidity, slightly too much when reaching the bottom. Looking forward to more deepness as it ages.

Dark, red berries. Tart, earthy finish. Mild sourness. Great, very well balanced lambic.

A rich, yeasty, cave-aged primal snort awaits the spelunker. Initial quaff excites the rear flanks of the tongue instantly. The human anatomy responds in kind. This befits the cave-dwelling european. Garnet gemstone vibrancy. Musky aftertaste. 6% 4.25
