A pitch black beer with no head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, roasted malt, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, alcohol, and chocolate, leading to a dry, roasted and bitter finish.

Last night. Interesting one this. No soy sauce flavours for an 10 year old beer, thankfully. Sweet milk chocolate, followed by really dark roast coffee, followed by dusty hops. First sip was a shock, last sip was great. A challenging™️ beer

Interesting to have tried. Hint of roasted malt, coffe, liquorice but has been evaporated since it is from 2011.

One a day historical check in, drank October 2011. Raisins, bonfire toffee, plain chocolate and burnt sugar aromas. Most alluring indeed. Smoky-dry flavours of dark roast coffee and chocolate. Quite sticky. Dry as Jack Dee’s wit finish. Lovely stuff.

Lots of roasty notes, some coffee, smooth, very balanced. Taste lingering for a long time. Can’t believe that this beer was bottled 12 years ago 🤯
