A good coffee Stout, but a little too boozy for me. Not worth $8 per bottle.

Thick, velvety, sweet and tastes like a fortified wine.

Nose is rather sweet, raisin-ish notes. Full flavour! Heavy roasted malt with alot of bitter coffee.

This was not ideally stored by me. Sherry meets coffee meets this has been around too long. As it warms: more syrupy and caramel-y.

I don't know why in my head I thought this would be richer and sweeter, but it isn't. Not that this is a bad beer, but it seems lacking in some way.

I really like the coffee on this but it's got a bitter bakers chocolate flavor that just hangs out on my tongue.

I guess I’m either really leaning into stout season, or I’m just trying to empty the beer fridge of all stouts.

I bought this beer 5 years ago for $13.50 and finally got around to drinking it today. The best by date is in 2026, so I could have gone another 4 years. I’m not big on imperial stouts but it’s good for what it is.

2010 vintage. Still very good but losing some of the full flavor.
