Stout - Imperial / Double

This intense Imperial Stout is defined by its high bitterness from the hops and the sweetness from the malt and alcohol, it creates a good balance which makes Black Hole an explosion of nuances, but also leaves a feeling of a complex beer. Black Hole is what Mikkeller is all about. Daring, vulgar and extreme. From the very beginning Mikkellers goal has been to push the limit and with this warming, intense imperial stout, a new chapter in the Danish beer history has been written.

Bb 03/04/18. Tight, burnt coffee at first. Loosens w time/temp. Cardamom, slight hint o liquorice n brew coffee. Nice big n a little demanding.

Kaapista löytyi vielä yksi jossa bbf sanoi 1211/19. Maussa kahvia ja tummaa mallasta. Ehkä hieman vaniljaa. Tälä iällä todella pehmeä ja miellyttävä nautittava. Paranee lämmetessään. Lähes täydellinen.

Brassin de 2011 qui ne goute plus grand chose : un peu de sauce soya, un peu de chocolat noir, un peu de mélasse, et quelques spectres fugaces de houblons verts. Right now, la « Black Hole » n'est plus qu'un progressif trou noir gustatif. Ainsi va la vie.

Dit biertje is in onze groep fenomenaal bevonden. Dit is serieus het laatste van het laatste van dit ultiem hoog scorende bier. Wat een geweldige ervaring om dit weer te mogen drinken. De beste stout ooit, smaakt imperial maar is het niet.

Black hole!!! Aged!! Expiry date 06/19... (+5yo?) Lingering mouthfeel. Round aftertaste without the usual bitterness of stouts. I love my danish neighbour!

I'm a little shocked at how little alcohol forward this beer is. Predominantly coffee and roasted malt. Makes for a very pleasant experience.
