Boozy. Perhaps too boozy. Malty with spicey notes, cinnamon, orange rind and raisins with a bitter overlay.

Held on to this for 18 months. Pours a nice thick foam. I'd say it has a bit of a sweet burnt notes, maybe burnt sugar cane, molasses and dark carmael, chocolatey maltiness. Quite smooth and deep, but a bit one sided?

Write up compared it with Westvleteren but it’s miles off. Smooth strong dark quad at 10%. Boozy so doesn’t pull it off compared to others.

Huge sherry notes. Dark cherry, black forest gateau. Nan what have you done to this cake? Smooth body almost like a mild, fruity, sweet, celebratory. Surprisingly thin for such a high percentage beverage. Burnt caramel? K1
