French Toast Bastard

Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy

Backwoods Bastard gets the 4-star breakfast treatment. Our bourbon barrel-aged Scotch Ale is introduced to maple syrup, cinnamon, and sweet vanilla for a decadent brunch-inspired sipper. Breakfast for dinner, anyone?

The maple and vanilla is well balanced in the front with a big caramel sweetness and aged bourbon finish. Cheers!šŸŗ

It's nice. Good flavor. Though maybe slightly thin mouth feel.

Distilled breakfast in a bottle. Can’t drink with an actual meal (the reason it was knocked down from 5)

STRONG! Reminds me of a breakfast that my friends serve us at a bed and breakfast in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. I'm very surprised how heavy it is though it terms of its gravity. Solid flavor, very cinnamon like, with a bread like finish

They nailed this one right on the head! The French toast aroma os right in your face, maple, cinnamon warms and vanilla mellows, which balances the barrel aged beer. Very rich scotch ale, and yet easy to drink for a beer of this caliber! I am blown away

A very deceptive 11%. Super flavorful and one of the few super strong ABV beers where I would gladly have a second one.
