Over the top . Svag kolsyra. Fatkaraktär med mycket lönnsirapsötma, choklad och lite kaffe.

Four years , perfect . I wouldn’t want it aged any longer , especially with the chocolate in here

Bought a 4-pack in late June. Went back and got the other 3 4-packs. Surprise find. All bottled on 10.08.2019. I think this was the last bottling release. Delicious! Same notes as the previous check-in.

Not too many left. Still has a sweet maple nose. A touch boozy on nose, cocoa. Carbo still good. Sweeter than I remember. Like, really good here. This is how a CBS should taste. Maybe I just hit a sweet spot after 4 years' age?

De een na laatste fles van dit overheerlijkr gerstenat. Wordt helaas niet meer gebrouwen. Ik denk dat ik een protest actiegroep begin, om dit bier weer op de markt te krijgen

Gitzwart met iets mokkakleurig schuim. Subtiele, complexe geur. De aanzet is mooi zoet van de maple syrup. Rijke body met chocolade, syrup en hout. Mooie lange afdronk: bourbon, chocolade en dan koffie.

[bottled on: 10.03.19 1058 6]In the process of emptying the cellar. No duds so far...and this certainly is not😋. Surprisingly, the coffee held up pretty well. Still some deep, dark chocolate. Tiny bit of bourbon. NO maple. It probably peaked in 2020...

It held up pretty good.  I feel like four years is all I’m gonna do with stouts at this point. Dumped out too many 2016-2018 this year.

Unbelievably good. For a beer meant to be consumed fresh, this 4 year old bottle of CBS hasn’t aged a single day. Even the maple is pronounced. Founders, PLEASE for the love of God bring this beer back.

As I continue to make my way through the final bottles & cans I have of some of my favorite beers from my stock, I admittedly feel a bit sad to say goodbye to another great beer. After four years, this is still beautiful. Coffee, maple, cocoa, & Bourbon.

At 4 years still some bourbon & maple aroma, but a little acrid (oak, tobacco smoke). Same for the flavors, but great complexity still there. Now 50/50 between sweet/bourbon and acrid/bitter flavors.

4 years may be to long. Very mellow and more molasses tasting
