Underground Mountain Brown

Brown Ale - Imperial / Double

Underground Mountain Brown is the harmonious drinking experience only achieved when our imperial brown ale, earthy sumatra coffee and a year aging in caves below Grand Rapids comes together. A team of malts complement the bold sumatra coffee perfectly, while time spent immersed in oak creates layers of depth and complexity. A celebration of the barrel, the bean and everything in between.

I hope I can find this one again some where. The BEST brown I’ve ever had. Every thing blended very well. Smith but lots of flavors going on.

As Mark S. says, “The perfect Brown.” He might be right.

I don’t love brown ales, but this is awesome. Sweet notes of coffee and great warmth of bourbon. It lighter and sweeter than KBS, with more coffee than chocolate. Big fan.

Wow! Would not guess this is 11.9%. Smooth. Did not notice barrel aged flavor (which is a plus for me)

Wow, rich deep chocolate coffee. Like great cold brew. Great little boozyness.

Flavors seem more stoutish than brown but the stout and bourbon notes eventually dominate in a very pleasing way. Not as outstanding as Backwoods, but then for me a good scotch ale is the preferred base for any nicely aged BBA.

Вкусный Браун. Много кофе с ванилью. И бочка хорошо отыгрывает

Needing to start off Monday grilling with something a little stronger. A little coffee ale aged in bourbon barrels. Excellent.

Caramel, vanilla, and toast. Add eggs and bacon and you have the perfect Autumn breakfast.

Lots of flavor, complex. Brown sugar, malty, not as bitter as some coffee beers. A really nice beer! This should be available all year!
