Underground Mountain Brown

Brown Ale - Imperial / Double

Underground Mountain Brown is the harmonious drinking experience only achieved when our imperial brown ale, earthy sumatra coffee and a year aging in caves below Grand Rapids comes together. A team of malts complement the bold sumatra coffee perfectly, while time spent immersed in oak creates layers of depth and complexity. A celebration of the barrel, the bean and everything in between.

A nice brown ale with hints of all the brown ale flavor you expect. Unfortunately there is a too strong of a bourbon flavor as well. And that detracted from what should have been an awesome beer.

Lovely Brown Ale with a nice roasted and caramelly coffee base. The finish resembles very dark chocolate and it also has that lovely barrel aged peatiness.

Edición 2019. De color marrón oscuro, espuma beige de retención media. En nariz café y café. Ligeros matices a barrica. Cuerpo medio.

I’m not a big fan of the bourbon barrel aged stuff, so take my rating with a grain of salt. That said, it wasn’t bad. Browns are a favorite style for me, but the boozy flavor and 11.9% ABV were a bit much. Underneath that, the brown was there.
