This BBA Imperial brown ale is mildly lighter version of a BBA stout. Creamy, well balanced blend of coffee with a hint of chocolate leading to a mellow bourbon finish. Incredibly smooth for 11.8%

Yes! Love the Sumatra Mtn brown. This BA version adds that nice kiss of oaky, bourbony character to it.

Aug 8 2019 bottle. Last of the 4 pack. Very soft and smooth with chocolate and rich coffee flavors. There is a slight sweetness and this beer packs a punch leaving me ready to drift off into a dreamy sleep on a sunny Nov Sun. Proof that God loves us.

Heavy dark coffee with concentrated cacao. Nice barrel aged oak finish.

Barrel aging definitely obvious in flavor. Dark without the chocolate flavor of stouts but still complex

Dit is erg goed. Alles is zo bijzonder fijn in balans. Koffie, choco, lekker lobbig en een heerlijke bourbon neus en nasmaak. Wat een fijne bieren maken ze toch daar bij Founders.

Nose of nuts and coffee. Tastes like light coffee and chocolate. Heavy bourbon finish. The flavour is good but little mild. Still nice though.

I usually hate barrel aged hut this is done right! Not too much whisky taste!

Such a treat to have this much flavor in a brown ale! Sometimes you want a serious trip to flavortown without taking such a thick and heavy stout with you. This brown ale drinks just as deep without all the weight. Sumatra coffee is killer. Dark roastrrr
