Almost gave it 4.5. It’s similar to kbs, but is less toasty and chocolatey, and has more coffee and bourbon barrel. A special beer every malt head should try.

Farmer John comes home from a long day. He shoved open the door and collapses to the floor. He says “GET ME A B..EEER”. Nephew Phil then rushes to the kitchen, grabs one of John’s beers, cracks it, and pours it into John’s mouth. “Thanks.” he says.

Not what I was expecting in a brown ale. A little to heavy and I don’t care for the hint of bourbon

I don’t love brown ales, but this is awesome. Sweet notes of coffee and great warmth of bourbon. It lighter and sweeter than KBS, with more coffee than chocolate. Big fan.
