Heerlijk begin van het weekend. Zwarte stout de bol staat van de Bourbon. Niet al te zoet, niet al te dik, maar de Bourbon maakt veel goed. Brand lekker na in de keel.

From LM, and for LM. A successful conclusion to a really hard - yet ultimately good - trip. In many ways, the capstone on a really large transition. Not a bad way to celebrate. Malt-mocha nose, smooth matching flavor w/ coffee, & carb/booze bites.

I can honestly say it’s been about 8 years since I last visited Brawley’s. While things have changed, it’s good to see that great beers are still available. Wonderful KBS.

 Don’t taste the bourbon. Very traditional standard style stout. Coffee taste comes through. Not a “desert” stout so its not sweet. The head is Amazing!

It's a bit sweeter than the 2018 version. Otherwise it still has the intense coffee and chocolate notes with a hint of vanilla.

В очередной раз убеждаюсь, что эйджинг ему на пользу. Бурбоновая сладость ушла, поднаторел. Горелый лук и старая дедова табакерка, Прима, если хотите. Сухо, травянисто, породистый алкоголь. Очень.

Woohoo m'n oudste zoon is over naar gymnasium 3 ondanks dat hij een klote jaar heeft gehad. Zo trots op hem, dat vieren we met een speciale uit 2019 🥳 ~~~ My oldest son has moved on to gymnasium 3 despite having a bad year. I'm so proud of him! Cheers 🥳

Tunn espresso med farinsocker, lite molass och vanilj. Ganska mycket kakao. Vag hint av bourbon. Väldigt len.

On right. From 2/6/2019. Still well carbonated. Wood prominent, plenty of chocolate, and some coffee, finishing with a bourbon bite, though not hot. Quite different from the 7.5 year-old 2016.

The bourbon notes have mellowed over time, but still plenty of great chocolate and coffee notes on this one. Still a great beer.

Doft av kaffe och fatlagring från bourbonfaten. Fyllig munkänsla. Smak av kaffe med fatlagring vid sidan. Något torr eftersmak med inslag av kaffe och fatlagring.

Still, a bog standard BBA imperial stout any brewery should aspire to, at scale & price point. Roasted coffee bean, sweetish dark chocolate & just hints of caramel and coconut - still about the stout and not the barrel or diabetic sweetness. Holding up.
