With this low abv it's not easy to brew a top notch beer. Roasted, chocolate malts a touch of smokiness and a good bitterness but on the thin side .

This beer is AMAZING! Pairs well with a crisp, fall/winter evening. Thank you Dan B for turning me onto Founders.

3.25 can. Pkg 8/1. Not my fav style. Too light for black IPA. Low abv founders mix 12-pack.

Nice light bodied, but full flavored black IPA with a roasted malt profile with a nice piney hop characteristic to lend a dry finish.

Really nice. Dark and roasty but also citrus bitter. And nice balance.

Has kind of a dark zesty aroma. A tad bitter, mostly zesty flavor, a splash of darkness on the backend.
