Dark brown pour w/ thick foam head. Scent of roast coffee and alcohol on top. Taste of coffee, roasted grains w/ a shot of bourbon(Irish coffee). Smooth swallow. Nice for a 12.3%

Vertical taste test: 2023 (left) vs 2018 (right). Both very similar but 2018 was a bit smoother and a tad more chocolatey. Excellent.

Last bottle from the 2018 batch. Smooth, lots of bourbon flavor, warm booziness. Good hit of coffee.

Lagrad. Svårt att identifiera för Founders slutade trycka bottle date och har istället ett svårläst bäst före datum, 2019 för denna. Abv 12.3. Har kanske tappat lite chokladtoner, men fortfarande väldigt bra.

From the cellar. Last had 2019. Aged 4 yrs, hitting the 4 year Founders rule. A yearly released Imp Stout brewed w/ a massive amount of coffee & chocolates, then cave-aged under Grand Rapids MI in oak bourbon barrels for an entire year. Drink now, fading!

Fjärde (och sista) KBS’en från 2018 batchen. Jag har gett dem lägre och lägre betyg ju äldre de har blivit men här studsar den upp 0,25 igen. Bourbonprägeln har avtagit rejält men annars har den smält samman väldigt fint. Rekommenderar den annars färsk.

Nice but not great. A little bitterness and lack of more barrel aged depth keeps it from being great.
