Dark bitter chocolate dominant. Coffee noticeable in finish. Not sweet and not boozy.

2021 version is much better than 2020 version. 2020 version is pretty boozy and dominates the other flavors. With 2021 version it is less boozy and more balanced with strong espresso flavor and you taste the bourbon.

Gitzwart bier met mokkakleurige schuimkraag. Prachtige geur van koffie. Vol en dik van smaak. Zijdezacht mondgevoel. Koffie, chocolade, hinten van vanille, Bourbon, tonen van rijp rood fruit en roasty bitter. Mooie, zachte afdronk. Koffie, fruit en boozy.

Very good, but after the initial “pop” of that espresso in the nose and flavor, it lacks the complexity I’ve come to expect from KBS.

Great expresso aroma and flavor on this one. I enjoyed this much more than the Mackinack Fudge. This was more along the lines of the original KBS.

Wat een choco/espresso BOM! Echt heeeeeeeeel goed in balans. Met wat vanille. En de Barrel Aged. Deze vind ik echt veel beter dan de normale KBS, echt heerlijk! Nét geen 5.00

Coffee notes hit hard, but without bitterness. Smooth with no boozy bite. Crisp finish.
