Coffee, oak,and mint in the nose. Taste of tobacco, dark fruit,star anise,espresso dark chocolate, oh and Bourbon. Nice boozy warmth back of the throat. Thanks Newman!

Little more bitter chocolate taste than regular kbs. Nice black coffee, chocolate and hint of bourbon.

Well-balanced coffee. No hops bitterness for 70 IBU. Not syrupy for such a big beer, probably due to the hops. A well done imperial BBA.

Chocolate and coffee clash in a deep and dark bold concoction that's thick and rich. Tasty and smooth despite the strong % and light bitterness.

Lots of coffee but really good. Coffee hides the booze in it so it will sneak up on you. Out of all the kbses I've had i like this one the most. But i like coffee beers.

Forgot to log this one last night, forgot I’ve never had it. It’s pretty solid. Mocha, roasty, and excellent consistency.

I really can’t determine which of the KBS beers I have had is better - espresso or the vanilla/cinnamon/cocoa. They have unique flavor profiles, with coffee-esque flavors that are different yet equally good.
