Not as good as previous years but still one of my fav beers 🍺

Historically (for me, the past 8 years), KBS has been one of my favorite beers, which I normally rate 4.75. Both KBS & CBS in 2019 were up to that mark, as is 2020 KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge. However, 2020 KBS is thinner & less complex, with weaker flavors.

Tour de Founders this evening with Jonathan B. - this was roastier than I recall most KBS being. Coffee comes out well as it warms; definitely thin, but still pretty nice.

Movie night with the girls. This beer doesn't taste as boozy as I thought it was going to taste is really smooth and no bitterness.

This has some intense flavors! There is some chocolate and coffee but it’s a touch acrid, boozy and earthy. I’m thinking this would be much better after a while of cellaring.

KBS is always good, but I think it gets even better as it ages.
