My bar has been raised for BA stouts with amazing options from Goose Island, Finback and Other Half. This is fine but it’s thin and pretty one dimensional. Chocolate fudge. Doesn’t transform from nose to palate. Totally drinkable but forgettable.

I don’t think I’ve ever used “fudge bomb” to describe a beer. Taste like im drinking something I got on the boardwalk. As a pure stout it’s incredible. As a BBA stout, the bourbon is overwhelmed.

This is dynamite. The complexity of this beer is not something you run into often. It’s thick and dark with big coffee and fudge flavors. Mix that with a bourbon barrel backend and you have a beer that hits all the right notes. Absolutely outstanding!
