Abundant maple syrup aroma. Chocolate and coffee on the front, chocolate more present but not as to mask the coffee. Pleasant maple syrup finish. Slightly sweet but nothing compared to the current barrage of pastry stouts. Better than latest CBS.

Big fudge taste. Barrel is secondary but compliments the chocolate taste well. Stout season is here.

WOW! This is awesome. Mostly Coffee n chocolate on the nose w a hint of maple. The fudge is impressive, it warms you up. I taste Caramelized maple actually. Tiny bit of alcohol on the backside but otherwise this is my new stout!

Didn’t pick up on much barrel character, super rich and chocolatey at the same time.

Um delicious. Not thick from sweetness, still a great thinner KBS body, nice barrel notes, delicious hiding of the alcohol

Lots of chocolate and coffee. Dont catch much bourbon. This is good, but like regular kbs better.

Coffee forward, fudge on finish, maple and booze throughout. If it were a wee thicker for mouth coating I would give it a perfect. But it is very good!

If you want a break from pastry fudge coffee stouts, this is a good one. Not much different than regular KBS. A little more chocolate and very coffee forward. I don't get the sweet maple fudge though

Smell is intense roast coffee. Flavor is a little thin but there’s a pretty prominent chocolate finish. Will age well. Update: it’s growing on me more and more

Tasty. Very very tasty. Huge fudge nose and mouth. Subtle barrel. Minimal sweetness or maple. Love it.....though I do feel dirty

Not a big fan of Founders, but I have to give them a big thumbs up on this. This is what KBS used to be. It actually tastes like something. Could use a bit more barrel though....

Not bad. I really think they should let KBS just be KBS, though. Way better than Espresso.

I think the availability of the regular KBS has really been a bit of a turn off as far as how likely I am to purchase it... And the variants aren't too far off that mark
