Strong bourbon flavor with very sweet taste from maple syrup. Interesting combination.

#doubledup - great old ale. Sweet Molasses malt, followed by maple syrup, all covered in a smoky bourbon flavor.

Not sure of the year but it definitely has a few under it’s belt. Still quite good. Sweet molasses and only a tiny bit of oxidation. So, nicely holding up well. My first time having it. Thanks Mike!

We all have our favorites. This is one of mine. Some say it's a little sweet, while others say it's a little strong with bourbon/oak. I love the complexity of the underlying old ale with bourbon and oak. The maple syrup's sweetness balances it all.

Two years later. Very smooth. Not dessert. Very smooth. Toffee and caramel are still there. Ot boozy.

Just an awesome brew. Smooth as can be for 12.7, not to sweet with all the maple.

Beautiful ruby color, nose reveals pastry-like maple notes, complex taste profile with dominant flavor of maple sirup, Bourbon and oak barrel, sweetness is well embedded and not too omnipresent, strong, intense, Brandy-like, Founders beers are Top Notch!
