For 12.7% its real smooth, bourbon/boozy taste with molasses. Maybe not the best weather to drink. Would be great in winter.

Like a barleywine with less sweetness. Assume because of the flavor profile of molasses.

Wow, holy shit this beer is strong! Not molasses flavored, and not maple syrup, but overwhelmed by cheap bourbon in the barrel aging process. This beer will be a hit at any and all midwestern football tailgate parties.
