Bottle from 2018 - A bit sweeter than I’d prefer, but the whisky flavor complements the maple and molasses well.

Very boozy. But smooth. The maple syrup comes through in the aroma. Maybe lends a little sweetness that smoothes the edges of the booziness.

Pours a nice deep mahogany. Aromas of toffee, malt and dark fruits. A sweet syrupy palate with plenty of malt but the bourbon gives it a bit of balance. Medium bodied. Quite a bit of carbonation for the style. Overall pretty good.

Oak,honey, maple, syrup mouth profile. Really interesting and sweeter than original.

Smooth, sweet, oaky, thick and strong. Dark amber. If there’s such a thing as dessert beer, this is it. I put it in the barley wine category, but this one is truly unique & tasty. Get more molasses than maple. Extra points for an excellent name and label.
