Another great beer from Founders. This is lighter color than the KBS beers. But a thicker feel in the mouth. Sweet. More boozy on the finish than say the Mackinac fudge. I know it’s not a KBS. just comparing. I’d buy again

2018 release. Delicious! Light body with excellent molasses and dulce de ledge flavors.

Rich sweet and drinkable. A hint boozy but totally compensated by the maple, molasses and malt.

Proeverij 4/4: Traditioneel volgt er weer een merkwaardig vierde bier. Old Ale stond nog niet op de lijst. Nu wel. Heerlijk stroperig toetje. Wel sterk spul!

De bourbon en maple syrup zitten heerlijk in balans waardoor je een zacht en zoet bier drinkt. Ook krijg je er een warm gevoel van. Puur genieten!

Been awhile without this, I wonder why? Old Ale is the emperor of all beer styles. And this particular Old Ale is & always has been amazingly deep & delicious. Coconut, whiskey, raisins, burnt sugar... Old Man’s Slut (as we call it) is a Legend✨🦉👊

We all have our favorites. This is one of mine. Some say it's a little sweet, while others say it's a little strong with bourbon/oak. I love the complexity of the underlying old ale with bourbon and oak. The maple syrup's sweetness balances it all.

Beautiful ruby color, nose reveals pastry-like maple notes, complex taste profile with dominant flavor of maple sirup, Bourbon and oak barrel, sweetness is well embedded and not too omnipresent, strong, intense, Brandy-like, Founders beers are Top Notch!

Wonderful BA old ale.. the aging has improved already superb ale. High alcohol content pretty well hidden. Almost CBS feelings from the finer nuances of flavor.

Fantastic ale! Slightly sweet with perfect combination of bourbon, chocolate, and molasses! Has a strong ale-esge aftertaste reminiscent of Lagunitas Brown Shugga!
