KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020)

Stout - Imperial / Double

Michigan didn't invent old-fashioned fudge, but it was perfected here. We pay tribute to this time-honored tradition with KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge. By amplifying the rich chocolate notes of KBS using Mackinac Fudge coffee, then adding maple syrup and aging it in oak bourbon barrels, we've created a bold new take on our barrel-aged classic - one that could only have originated in Michigan.

Good body and chocolatey fudge. Missing the maple a bit. Solid choice.

Bitter burnt caramel is overpowering. Cocoa is prominent, but it could use some sweetness to balance the bitterness.

Advent day 23. Bringing it back to my Michigan roots. Had planned to visit Mackinac Island this summer. Darn COVID. Cheers to all! A sweet but bold complex barrel aged stout

Rich, decadent. Pleasant aroma of fudge. Heavier flavor of fudge with light coffee and lingering coffee finish. Delicious.

This was much better than I anticipated. Great coffee and fudge balance throughout with an overall sweetness from the maple. Definitely the best KBS yet!

Roasty chocolate infused with maple syrup. Better than mom's fudge! I could drink this forever! I find it thick and robust. The oak Bourbon is just an added tickle to the palate. I didn't think I would like this but damn I was wrong. I may open anothet
