Hij blijft lekker. Warmte tonen van cacao en chocolade, gecombineerd met het bittere van koffie en het straffe van de bourbon. Helaas wel minder volle smaak dan die van vorig jaar

I remember seeking out this beer, now we have so many local stouts that are better. First time as a yearly release, balance is meh coffee is bitter on the nose and palate. At least it’s only $16.99 now but if Backwoods Bastard was next to it no contest!

Misschien wel het lekkerst ruikende bier tot nu toe. Maar dan de smaak. Heerlijk. Tonen van vanille, whisky en koffie. Dat gecombineerd met donker bier zorgt voor een biertje dat niet verveeld. Bedankt Tim V.

(backlogging, April) Bittersweet chocolates, molasses, coffee. Vanilla, bourbon, hints of soy. Rich and creamy.

Used to be such a fan of this, but that was before the explosion of craft beer over the last five years. It's still solid, but compared to others of its abv, it's really falling behind.
