Too boozy. Vanilla and maple syrup tastes get overwhelmed. Definite potential with a bit more balance.

The vanilla extract is still cloying and overpowering, but this beer gets marginally more balanced as it warms.

This is OK, but I don’t understand the love this one is getting in the ratings and checkins. Also, much better as it warms. Straight out of the fridge wasn’t very good.

A bit hoppy for my taste. Outside of that, the maple and vanilla aren't overpowering and it finishes nicely. If you don't mind the hops, it's a nice addition to the BA series.

Sweet nose. Balanced sweetness with subtle but definite maple. Nice roasty malt. Mild malty.

Eh, not my favorite from founders. Was expecting more maple flavor. Does gave nice bourbon-y taste and the vanilla almost comes across like a marshmallow.

While I found the maple and vanilla sweetness, the bourbon overpowers the maltiness I'm looking for.
