Blushing Monk

Fruit Beer

Blushing Monk is brewed with a ridiculous amount of raspberries and with a Belgian yeast strain that keeps our head cellar operator from sleeping for a week. It pours a stunning deep berry red and, at 9.2% ABV, has a surprising kick. The perfect dessert beer, it can be enjoyed on its own or paired with fresh cheeses, fruit, cakes and more.

Sweeter than I might have preferred. Will stick with Rubaeus.

A fruity bouquet. Mayhaps a bit sweet, medicinal. Still a good beer. Some age would be interesting.

Aromatic with raspberry right from the start. Not overpoweringly bitter but well balanced and drinkable. Feel is light and crisp.

Raspberry jam ale. Too sweet for me. It is a beautiful dark red in the glass.

Yum! Yum yummy yum. It was such a real, authentic, tart raspberry flavor. I could drink a dozen of these. A practically perfect sour fruit beer pairs well with gorgeous spring afternoons.

Forgot I had this wine/bottle opener, should get a bottle of wine soon miss that refined grape jambori and some cheese! This beer is more like a lambic btdubs, lots of tart but not sour just fruity af doesn't make me cry just curls my toes lol not bad 🍻

Fruit beers are not my favorite, however, wanted to try this one being Founders. A good beer, but not something I would drink again.

Fruity strong raspberry taste and decently sweet, overall a very solid beer

Even better for tonight's pairing with Aunt Emily's ribs. The ribs have a molasses and vinegar sauce, and the Imperial sour adds the right sweetness.

This is so good. It's a dessert beer but not quite as sweet as say a lambic. I am surprised by how much I like this.

Cuttin loose after a doubly long week, especially when you are the spouse who usually works 80 hrs. Managed to keep the first one under 10%. Yea me!
