Lots of booze on this but Candy apple sweetness. Not bad but split a bottle for sure.

The hoppiness took a little getting used to for a barleywine (style) ale, but grew on me. May set the other bottle away for a while. Thanks, Mark T.

an inexpensive high a.b.v. (11.2%) barleywine ale. that should have been all i needed to know. not horrible & a good value. slightly carmel, with a bad hoppy aftertaste. rats, but good to have fur a quick buzz

It takes more like a stout than anything. Priced well though.

Very subtle. Not getting any punch in the face like Zach M. Don't know if there are inconsistencies but there's not much going on with this one.

Hmmm maybe this needs 8 years in the cellar to be any resemblance of the older versions I tried. Not sure glad I only got a single.....

It smells like mixed berries. I'm waiting for it to warm up to try to get more flavor out of it but there isn't as much as I would have hoped. It tastes more like a stout but with some barleywine flavor.

For a Founders Barleywine it’s pretty disappointing. Almost like a slightly less hoppy Arrogant Bastard.

Lightly sweet, malty, and a pleasant hoppiness. At least this one didn’t end up all over my table and my paperwork and my manuals, basically everything in its wake. 🍻1️⃣❤️🌎☮️

3months wasn't enough to mellow out this beast, I'll see what 2-3 yrs does. Bitter bite n only Subtle sweetness. Similar to '21 Bigfoot.

I didn’t know what to expect with this one, but not bad. It had cherry and chocolate hints to it, and had a decent finish.

Aggro American style! Pretty dense caramel & licorice-molasses malt, railed by juicy, bitter and resinous American hops. A modern Bigfoot.
