Gonna have to try this one again. I was drinking it outside on hottest day of the year and it really didn’t go well with the heat.

Thick, sweet, and malty with a strong alcohol finish. Honestly, not for me. 11.2% ABV.

Malty up front that slides through a 🍫 chocolate note and ends with an ever so slight boozy ending.

The alcohol is bit to overpowering, liking the malts though……..

Barley wine? Roasty + hoppy + malty = NOT what I was expecting. But I don’t hate it.

Weird profile for the style to me - even as American with higher bitterness, there is an odd peppery-leathery thing and lack of the malt complexity I expect.

Big bold dark chocolate malt aroma and flavor with big bittering, reminds me more of a Russian Imperial vice Barleywine.

Not bad, not great. Doesn’t really taste like a barleywine

More bitter than I would expect for a barley wine, but very malty and strong!

Plenty of sweet malt to compliment the piney hoppiness.

Bitter and roasty. Almost has a chocolate vibe to it. I bet this would be a whole lot better if it was barrel-aged.

Just like dating in college- rough but good, bitter and murky.

His Royal Hancurness hancurman
Deep amber, almost venturing into stout / Baltic porter territory. So resinous and tongue-coating hoppy too.

Super weird. There’s almost a dried fruit flavor to the finish. Not my cup of tea.

Not a huge fan of IPA tastes, but has a stout taste to it as well

The hops take away too much from the barley wine taste

More bitter than I would prefer, but wouldn't turn it down when offered

Barley wine...strong ale with woody, boozy taste.

Way more hoppy than I think a barleywine should be.
