This is Founders wheelhouse, these big flavor-riddled beers. This is a big, creamy, chewy BW. Glad I found this.

13 year Chivas Regal Selectively Finished In America Rye Casks was used to chase down the awesome Barleywine from Founders.

A cornucopia of flavors dancing in my mouth. Some sweet, some back end bitter, and strong. Seems heavy fruit like flavor.

I remembered loving the 2010 version, so was happy see this brewed again. Hoppy, roasty, bitter, dry finish. Bold flavors yet balanced, and nice smooth feel.

Surprisingly good. I would say it's the roasty version of Bigfoot Barleywine.

Yum!! So many flavors going on! Not your typical oversweet barley wine like Bigfoot. Tastes almost like it's barrel-aged. Glad I bought all they had!!
