Really nice. Not as boozy as most barely wines.

Aroma of grapefruit and faint chocolate. Taste is certainly hop-forward with floral and grassy notes, grapefruit rind, and then distinct coffee and dark cocoa on the finish. Comes off more like a black IPA but I am interested in re-visiting this.

Terrible, not even gonna rate it! Expect a lot more from founders...

A Barleywine that could easy pass as a Black IPA. Bitter hop notes reign supreme. Totally unique for the style.

Hoppy Barleywine? Thick, malty, sweet Barleywine with a distinct hoppy bitter bite on the finish. Needs time

Strong and herbal with hops and malts backing it up. Dripping with flavor. I personally love the 11%, especially for an afterwork beer. I wouldn't say this is incredible, but it is an affordable venture into above average beer. -RnB

Really hoppy barleywine. Actually pretty interesting. Hits almost DIPA, but also definitely barleywine.

An amber hued libation. The nose is malty w/ caramel & marshmallow coming through. The palate is a bit different. Super hoppy & roasted. It’s like an IPA blended w/ a stout. The finish is super long & bitter. It’s good but still figuring it out. Cheers!

Dangerously easy to drink with notes of chocolate with a hoppy finish.

Stonefruit sweetness that quickly morphs into an intense roastiness. Finishes quite bitter without the boozy notes you'd expect from an 11.2% beer. This is amazingly good and not what I'd expect from a Barleywine.

Surprising find at the local market. Bottled four weeks ago! The roasted malt presents a bit of an identity crisis, but it's intriguingly tasty. The other three bottles are going to hide away for a bit as this should age really well.
