Surprised to see it pour dark. Nice bitterness! GREAT craft beer! Paired it with a honey bourbon cigar. ;-)

Holy cripes. Intensity. Intensely sweet and malty. Intensely hoppy and bitter. Huge beer. Huge flavor. Huge thank you to Founders for brewing this beast.

The deep roasty notes do little to prepare you for the big bold flavors that try to hide the %11.2 abv. Plenty of malty goodness including caramel, light vanilla, coffee and cocoa that plays well with the 75 IBU's which brings on a bitterness for balance

Great way to wind down at the taproom after seeing my tigers win! It's kinda like a heavy scotch ale or something? IDK... I forgot to check in at the time so this review is like a week late.... Leave me alone! 🤣🤷

Boozy, complex mix of flavors. Lots going on. Both roasty and bitter, with subtle malty sweetness. Kinda what you'd expect out of something unique like a barleywine.

Fragrant hops on the nose. Dark and roasted malts per style. Big body and high IBUs but balanced well. Slight bitterness on after taste. Nice. To a malthead, probably better aged a year.

Another amazing beer from Founders. Semi sweet hints initially followed by an amazing bouquet of amaretto, cocoa and raisins. A world of great flavors.
