Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter

Brown Ale - American

They don't make 'em like they used to... or do they? The bottle shop series is a tribute to the folks who supported ragtag brewer's across the country when craft beer was in its infancy. when beer enthusiasts sought out innovation through big flavor, in your face complexity and revered quality above all else. This series is for you: the distinguished beer connoisseur still seeking the revolution that energized the industry we know today -- that settles for nothing less then the very best!

I like it. Not too sweet. Not too boozy. The cherry is weird but in a good way. I’m getting more to do further analysis. #BOTM club, thanks Rob K.

STEVE!

Bought another 4pk of this. Usually, I’m not interested in cocktail inspired beers but, there’s something about this one. Probably because I love an old fashioned

Very sweet, fruity and vanilla coming through. Got a bit of a tartness or bitterness on the end that balances it a little

Mild bourbon tingle; real smooth. Citrus middle with a cherry finish. No flipping way this is 11%, might as well be Oberon the way it can go down with ease.

Very odd blend of fruit flavors and caramel but it really works. It gets better with every sip.

Whew, powerful stuff! The orange and cherry are on the nose and hit you right away. Then the vanilla and bourbon round it out. Dang near just like an OF 😮

Use a tumbler glass. It's closer to the flavor of a well made cocktail. This is to be savored and sipped. Bourbon, vanilla, oak, mixed with sweet malt. Boozy aroma but not overpowering and mild in taste. A true brewed treasure.

I’m an old fashion and Old Fashioned guy, so, this beer is in my wheelhouse. I get the cherry; I get the orange; and I get the booze. So, why not have an Old Fashioned, you ask? I respond, Why not have both? Life is good. Have a (high) ball!
