Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2016) 12.4%

Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

What we’ve got here is an imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolates, then cave-aged in oak bourbon barrels for an entire year to make sure wonderful bourbon undertones come through in the finish. Makes your taste buds squeal with delight.

Chocolate notes still there, best of last of my 2015-2017 bottles left. Beer has changed so much since this was made I’m not sure it’s a fair comparison

Fridge kept, but still oxidized. Mostly chocolate and a little oak at this point.

Found a few different years of KBS in a box we hadn’t unpacked. 2016 was still full of flavor and bite.

Onhan tämä ihan hyvää, mutta kyllä seitsemän vuotta kaapissa on tehnyt tehtävänsä. Aika laimeaksi on maku muuttunut.

Doing a tasting of 2016 to 2022. Great aroma, tastes of bourbon, chocolate, and coffee, aged extremely well.
