2 days shy of 15 months old and boy there's a lot going on with this boozy, bourbon barrel-aged beauty. Strong roasty, toasty coffee mixed with rich chocolate notes with a hint of oakiness, this has aged very well.

Hele mooie dikke stout voor de liefhebber van verfijnde koffie en bourbon. Een dessert-in-itself, maar ik serveerde deze ín en naast een stevige chocolademousse. BCI het was een lekker avondje.

Coffee and chocolate. You can definitely taste the barrel, but it doesn’t overpower the beer.

Het reeds fantastische bier (gerijpt op Bourbonvaten) werd nog eens extra gerijpt op espresso bonen, en dat was een goed idee! 👍👍👍
