Not a fan. Here’s the issue IMO, founders a great brewery w good overall beers sells out, new company is trying way tooo hard. Aside from the nice hazelnut nose this isn’t tasty. Thank you Jason W

Couldn’t just drink shit all night. This was a complete 180. Tastes like I poured a KBS into a jar of gnutella.

Big Hazelnut taste with a lingering sweetly bitter finish.

Too much hazelnut for my tastes. Barrel flavor at the end is good though.

Meh. Not a huge fan of this. Astringent and bitter. Probably my least favorite KBS ever.

Too boozy. I added vanilla ice cream and made a float. Still too boozy.

Heavy on the K this year- not sure if just hot or the hazelnut creates more of a contrast

Has an interesting spicy smell before the hazelnut flavor. Odd.

Pretty disappointed. Objectively good I guess, just way too bitter and smell doesn't match the taste at all.

Not as good as reg KBS. Strange hazelnut flavor.

Not my favorite KBS, which is sad. Tastes like smelling Nutella while drinking a stout. I prefer something stronger and with a more authoritative taste. It won't go to waste but I'll buy another KBS before getting this one again.

So wanted this to deliver all my favorite KBS descriptors, but no. Heavy hazelnut nose, over-sweet to the point of masking the base, and no barrel to speak of. A rare miss. 🍻

Heavy, thick, dark, boozy, hazelnut, peanut butter, vanilla, cinnamon, hint of sweetness and subtle bitterness.

Super dry and roasted/burnt coffee, a hint of toasted hazelnut, faint fudge and cocoa dust, lightly silky body. Not bad.

I like hazelnuts. I haven’t had a lot of hazelnut beers that worked. This…works? Smells a bit like those crappy hazelnut coffees that were popular in boutique coffee shops in the 1980s, but tastes better than that. Save your money and buy regular KBS.
