The OG stout. Coffee roasted chocolatey goodness with the aftertaste of good ol’ bourbon. One of my favorites of all time.

Long gone are the days of waiting in line on April first for KBS. And long gone are the days of me getting carded. It really hit me today that it’s been a while since anyone carded me for booze.

It’s finally here! I think this has a decent balance between the coffee and the cacao, but I’m not finding either flavor presenting particularly strongly. Nor, too, is the barrel truly dominant. Balanced, yes, but a bit muted.

Was going through some things and found a photo copy of my first passport. 1994 I was 30 years old. I still had a head full of hair back then 😂. This 2022 KBS isn’t as good as past versions. It’s still a great beer but doesn’t measure up to the past. 🍻

FLN. Have to buy at least a 4 pack a year. Reminds me of a simpler BA time. And also the long drives to Grand Rapids to just secure some bottles of this.
