Bottled 9.19.22 Definitely has settled down in the cinnamon department. Much more balanced, Cinnamon Toast Crunch vibes with a nice malty base with a kick of bitterness. Overall a sweet pastry-esque experience. Clearing out the cellar!

This grew on me. First few sips were surprisingly sweet. Would have liked more bastard, less French toast

Not as heavy or sweet as the mothership series batch a few years ago.

French toast flavor, yes! Wayyyyyy sweet! Would prefer a 2 to 3 year old Backwoods Bastard over this any day! Thanks Jon!

Missing the buttery body the previous version had. Still quite good but missing that certain something

LC. Initial carb was thin and flabby. Body was ample. Taste on point. Maple and cinnamon. Bourbon was fine.

Better than I remember it. Big maple but not cloyingly sweet. Still slightly prefer the base, but this is a nice fall beer.

Maple cinnamon bomb the base beer is totally drowned out. If you like cinnamon you should be pleased.

Smells like a 4.5, aftertaste has a bitterness that kinda brings it down, bit gets better as it warms up

Heavy maple and cinnamon on the nose. First sip and the maple flavor stuck to my tongue. Overall a really good beer

This beer is ridiculous. 11.1% and $15 a 4-pack. That's fantastic and this beer is delicious to boot.

Let it warm and the maple really comes through. Slight cinnamon and carbonation.

Heavy on the maple makes it a bit hot. Maybe will mellow after sitting for a bit

This is a tasty version of Backwoods Bastard, which has a maple syrup backbone. Nice, but a bit too much cinnamon is bringing it down a notch.
