From last week. Good, but one-noted. Not heavy in coffee or chocolate flavor, but bourbon is prominent. Boozy but smooth, lacks richness and depth compared to other stouts. This used to be a gold standard for me.

Very sweet. Full bodied, with dark chocolate immediately on the palete. Some drip coffee and vanilla round off the finish. Not super bourbon-y. Label says 45 IBU. A little extra hoppy bitterness to round off the sweetness would make this beer perfect.

The legendary KBS underwhelmed. Medium body and slightly creamy. Heavy on the coffee and chocolate notes. Boozy and low on the oak and Bourbon notes. Little harsh and unbalanced. At 12% ABV, I expected more Bourbon but just got booze. Still good though.
