2017. Zero heat, more earthy notes than dark fruit, some tobacco/ woody notes come in as it warms.

Probably only Pliny the Younger is the last big "get" I haven't had. All more than satisfactory, none worth more than a 3 minute wait in line. Good to have people in my life who give good beer as Christmas gifts. Happy with it, I'm just turned off by hype

It’s OK. I get the Espresso designation, but it’s just not that satisfying and full bodied.

Very flavorful! Heavy duty on the coffee. Paired with smoked turkey, dark chocolate, blue cheese, havarti, aged gouda, raspberries, and chocolate cake.

2017! Clearing out the last of the Founders in the cellar. Holds up!

Coco nibs, coconut and mineral water round out the aroma. The high alcohol content is masked well in both the aroma and taste, but booziness does rise with temp. Vanilla and oak come at the finish. Oak is more clean, not too strong or dry .
