Breakfast? 😬 I've had a couple bourbon barrel aged stouts now and the first adjective I used when I took my first sip of this was "dirty." There's actually a bit of watered down taste which was surprising for a thick and heavy stout like this

Reminiscent of BingHAMton days gone by. The good ole days.

A classic that I review on BA. Basically, this classic has lots of competition now.

Strong as fuck. A little heavy. Slow drinker on a cold night.

Espresso Beans and Dark Chocolate on the nose, tinge of Oak and Bourbon complimented by Molasses and baking spices on the palate, finish is rich, heavy bodied, coffee lingers in the mouth forever.

An OG BBA stout. Still one of the best.

Comparison. I like this a hair better than Cafe Deth. The Dark Matter is prob superior as a coffee but the lower ABV / Sanka vibe still works a tad better. Both 4.5s

Honestly, as good as ever. The elements of this beer just fit together perfectly. The bourbon is up front with all of the adjuncts adding a note or two through the development without too much sweetness. Dry oak and malt bring teeth to the finish. Iconic.
