Not surprised this is a very good brew with smooth oak and smoke. Am surprised I found this in the family beverage fridge here in Vermont, given that my brother has notoriously bad taste in beer!!

4.35* BA scotch ale. Zoet en bitter prachtig in balans. De vaten komen er mooi doorheen. Van Mitchel gehad. Thanks.

Tasty, but considering it was bottled in September of 2021 and I'm drinking it in March of 2024 and has unknown storage history for those 2.5+ years...who knows how good it could have been.

Weak Malt cask caramel nose. Munich(?) Malts with a side of barrel and cherry. Some cheese helps get through this. $6

The label says “Aromas of oaky bourbon barrels, smoke, sweet caramel and roasted malts.” Yes, I tasted those flavors. Boozy.

Quite boozy with bourbon and caramel flavours and plenty of oak and smoke with a touch of bitterness in the finish.
