Recommend by the guy at the register as a good one to go with a stogie. Boy! He was right! Tasty, complex, and slightly sweet with the mild Connecticut wrapped stogie I smoked. Perfect pairing.

Beautiful dark brown with tan head, strong aroma of toffee and chocolate, thick body, a touch more bitter and less sweet than expected, flavour similar to aroma. Alcohol warmth on finish. Very nice

Went to the local distributer looking for barley wine and this was the closest thing they had. I am very glad this was recommended, the malty, Carmel notes are prominent without an overbearing scotch note is drinks very easy for 11%; would drink again!
