The absolute bellwether of the style. Equal measures of roasted malt, dark chocolate and French roast coffee all tied together by a sharp bitter licorice finish. 2019 bottle and drinking beautifully. Go Sixers!

It’s been many years since I’ve tasted this offering. Draft version is excellent in 2023.

Black as midnight with hardly any head at all. Somehow there still managed to be some lacing left on the glass though. Aromas of chocolate and roasty malts. Coffee came through on the flavor as did more chocolate and more roastiness. Very tasty stuff.

This beer is now nearly 4 years old and flavors of dark fruit and molasses are prominent. Still delicious and very nicely blended.

It’s thicccc, 9% 😅, and friends tried but not impressed…. Don’t matter lol because it’s for me and I love 🥰🤗

This bottle was from 2016, non barrel-aged beer, still tastes incredible! WOW! 🍺

Огонь! Жженая резина, смолёные шпалы. Горечь в тему, ни намёка на алкоголь - коварно. Глубокий рис, в лучших традициях

Thick & black with a good taste. Having this one on vacation at Point Pleasant Beach NJ. Untapped at home instead of out at a crowded venue with music. When will this end?

Chocolate vanilla roast malt with a bit of alcohol. A fair bit of hoppy bitterness rounds out an awesome RIS.
