Green Zebra

Sour - Fruited Gose

Subtly sour and a little sweet, this ale is a refreshing take on a nearly extinct German style, gose. Watermelon is the highlight of this lightly-hopped treat and gives it a hint of satisfying juiciness. The soft mouthfeel and dry finish comes courtesy of the addition of sea salt, a traditional gose ingredient.

Pretty good sour that I’d likely drink again but nothing super memorable. I’ve had better. Founders is one of my fav breweries tho so I’ll give it some props but this isn’t the best of their brews 🍻

Smell is pretty bad but thankfully the taste is pleasant. Goses always smell farty and astringent but thankfully this beer has a nice watermelon flavor and mouthfeel. Too bad smell is half your sense of taste. Could be better. 🍉 🍉 🍉
